Partner, Chief Investment Officer, Systematic Credit
Mr. Brodsky is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Ares Systematic Credit in the Ares Credit Group. Additionally, Mr. Brodsky is the Chair of the Ares Systematic Credit Investment Committee. Prior to joining Ares in 2026, Mr. Brodsky was the founding Chief Investment Officer of BlueCove Limited, an active systematic credit manager focused on long-short, total return and benchmarked solutions across global liquid credit markets. Previously, Mr. Brodsky was a Managing Director and Deputy Chief Investment Officer at BlackRock, where he led systematic investment teams across credit, rates and foreign exchange. In addition, he served as Global Head of Fixed Income Asset Allocation at Barclays Global Investors prior to its merger with BlackRock. Mr. Brodsky began his career at Salomon Brothers Asset Management, where he managed credit and emerging market assets. Mr. Brodsky holds a B.Sc. from Düsseldorf University in International Economics and Business Studies and an M.Sc. from the ICMA Centre, Henley Business School in Finance. He is a CFA® charterholder and holds the Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF).
