Mr. NeSmith is a Managing Director and Co-Head of U.S. Diversified Investments in Ares Real Estate, where he focuses on U.S. diversified real estate equity. Prior to joining Ares in 2013, Mr. NeSmith was an Analyst at AREA Property Partners, where he focused on European real estate investments across asset classes for AREA's equity funds. Previously, Mr. NeSmith was an Analyst at UBS Investment Bank in the real estate investment banking group. Mr. NeSmith holds a B.S., summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Birmingham-Southern College in Economics, as well as a Masters Degree, merit honours, from London School of Economics and Political Science in Accounting and Finance.
