Mr. Kubo is a Managing Director within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares' client management activities in the global wealth channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, Mr. Kubo was a Senior Executive Officer, Head of Sales-Japan at GAM, a Swiss asset management firm, where he led distribution activities in Japan. Previously, Mr. Kubo was a Vice President for Third Party Distribution Division at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he covered third-party fund distributors in Japan. In addition, he was a Vice President for Intermediary Sales at State Street Global Advisors Tokyo, where he focused on fund distributors in Japan. He began his career at Mizuho Securities in Tokyo and worked for several Mizuho entities for over 20 years. Mr. Kubo holds a B.A. from Keio University in Economics.
