Managing Director, Associate General Counsel, Global Wealth Management
Mr. Troha is a Managing Director and Counsel (Global Wealth Management) in the Ares Legal Department. Prior to joining Ares in 2022, Mr. Troha was a Director, Corporate Counsel at Charles Schwab & Co., where he advised the broker-dealer on the firm's distribution and custody of alternative investments, as well as trading and general broker-dealer matters. Previously, Mr. Troha was a Director, Assistant General Counsel at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Deputy General Counsel at Stifel Financial Corp., and Vice President, Assistant General Counsel at Barclays Wealth, where he focused on a broad array of broker-dealer legal and regulatory issues for those firms' wealth management businesses. Mr. Troha holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of Dayton in Finance and a J.D., cum laude, from New York Law School.
