Mr. Brown is a Managing Director in Ares Insurance Solutions. Prior to joining Ares in 2021, Mr. Brown was the Executive Vice President, Capital and Strategy and Chief Investment Officer at Aspida Financial. Previously, Mr. Brown was a Managing Director at JP Morgan in the Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising for financial services companies. In addition, he held leadership positions in investment banking at Merrill Lynch and Credit Suisse First Boston. Mr. Brown began his career as an attorney at Cravath Swaine & Moore, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate law. Mr. Brown holds a B.A. from Yale University in Economics and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
