Managing Director
Mr. Simon is a Managing Director in the Ares Credit Group, where he focuses on systematic credit. Prior to joining Ares in 2026, Mr. Simon was a Portfolio Manager and Trader on the Portfolio Management Team at BlueCove Limited, an active systematic credit manager focused on long-short, total return and benchmarked solutions across global liquid credit markets. Previously, Mr. Simon was a Portfolio Manager at BlackRock, where he was responsible for managing portfolios within the systematic fixed income, index and ETF strategies across credit, rates and foreign exchange. In addition, Mr. Simon worked on the Investment Strategy Team in the at Barclays Global Investors Fixed Income Group. Mr. Simon holds a B.Sc. from Keele University in Mathematics and Physics. He is a CFA® charterholder.
