Managing Director
Mr. Pinnell is a Managing Director in the Ares Investment Operations Group. Prior to joining Ares in 2026, Mr. Pinnell was Deputy Chief Operating Officer and Head of Operational Risk at BlueCove Limited, where he was responsible for designing out the operations and fund accounting infrastructure for launch and was responsible for operational risk. Previously Mr. Pinnell was Director of Operations at Finisterre Capital Limited, an emerging markets discretionary fixed income manager, where he was responsible for managing the operations, fund accounting and treasury functions. Previously Mr. Pinnell was a Product Control Analyst at Barclays Capital, where he supported the European rates desk. Mr. Pinnell holds a B.B.S. (Hons) from Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa.
