Terry Simpson

Mr. Simpson is a Managing Director within Ares Wealth Management Solutions, which oversees Ares' client management activities in the global wealth channel. Prior to joining Ares in 2025, he was a Senior Portfolio Manager in the Private Debt division at BlackRock, where he managed multi-private debt portfolios, led an investment council and authored private debt thought leadership. Previously, he was a Senior Investment Strategist in the BlackRock Investment Institute, where he focused on multi-asset class & asset allocation research in addition to authoring thought leadership. He holds a dual B.S. from Marist College in Mathematics & Finance. Mr. Simpson is a CFA® charterholder and holds a CAIA designation.
