Tom Griffin

Mr. Griffin is a Managing Director and Associate General Counsel (Alternative Credit) in the Ares Legal Department. Prior to joining Ares in 2016, Mr. Griffin was an Associate in the Financial Institutions Group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he focused on mergers, acquisitions and investment transactions as well as general corporate and securities law matters. Mr. Griffin holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina Honors College in Biological Sciences, an M.A. from the University of Queensland in International Economics and Finance and a J.D., with honors, from the University of Texas School of Law.
