Scott Legel

Mr. Legel is a Vice President in Ares Real Estate, where he focuses on real estate in Mexico. Prior to joining Ares in 2024, Mr. Legel was a Vice President at Walton Street Capital Mexico, where he focused on hospitality real estate in the U.S. and Mexico. Previously, Mr. Legel was a Vice President of Asset Management at Brookfield Properties, where he led a hotel asset portfolio within the hospitality group. In Addition, Mr. Legel was a Senior Vice President of Asset Management at hotelAVE, where he oversaw the west coast asset management practice. Mr. Legel holds a B.Sc. from Cornell University in Hotel Administration.
